My competitor was destroying us..

He has no back-links of any repute but the following

1 Blogger post with NO FOLLOW taken OFF and his keyword SPLATTED ridiculously on the page.

2 He has found nonsensical articles that mean nothing but have the keyword in them, even if the keyword has been out of context - and added his link to the keywords on these blogs.

Point 1 I was not aware of but apparantly you can now make links follow in Blogger.

And Point 2... where did he get these articles from and does this sound like he has used something like Article Submitter?

Shamefully... he ranks above everyone for a very competative keyword... so the dog shit no value links he has and few of them ... clearly either constitute a very strong link wheel or highly acclaimed back links.

What is this called? Appart from kicking my ass with baby basic crap techniques which most people would get penalised for.

I call it WIN :D

Sorry to hear your woes though..

If you are seeing tons of articles he is probably using a spinner like spinnerchief throwing an article in and then using an article submitter. Are these located on article submission sites?

edit: I use AMR and the best spinner myself

I'd say crushing competition (which in this case is you)

I understand how much it sucks for you, especially if you're working hard on white hat SEO. (And if you're not then you have no reason to cry, go ahead and crush him with some serious black hat :D )

I know what you feel!
That's how I face lately...

Now, let's get back to business... get some secret weapon and enter the battle field!

This question is so DP :D

It's called content farm or splog. You can just report his ass and they will delete the blog in question. No more SERP problems :D

LOL, report...

Karma will turn over to you later.... :D

Yeh no I meant when he said report...

if you look at the link I posted is this constituted as something we should not do with sites or is that acceptable if you just have a few??? To me it looks deliberate black hat - non related article with keywords in it out of context on a shit site that has nothign to do with the target site I mean....

The link doesn't work, or are you asking for us to say the URL looks bad or something?

That poster is saying things will turn your way eventually (karma)...

A lot of ppl use to say karma's a bitch and fate will turn... I tend to trust Darwin more than Karma and if I were you I'd start implementing the most effective BH tactics to claim your keywords back and increase your profits. Or move to the next keyword. Just a suggestion... ;)

Try to do the same as him, you know his secret, copy it and profit.

Reporting him to G will prolly not work.

Karma will turn over to you later

Hi Earl !

Sorry here is the URL http://rrrrrrrr.org/archives/2009/11/

1. I love you for helping

2. As you can see - the above website is clearly some form of "farm" for content its hardly a URL that can be seen as valuable right?

So - if my competitor has crow bared a shit article on here that means nothing or does not relate to his business at all, nor does the site.

(I) Is this black hat?

(II) Is article posting safe black hat in this way?

(III) Has he used an automatic article writer or poster?

Just do what he does to you and outrank him. You might need to become a little bit more grey-hat ;)

In time, his techniques will land him in a bad place. What you have to consider is, do you want to be in that bad place with him?

do the same as him but better. Write (or borrow) better articles, spin them better so they make sense, and put them in better places. Get your on-site SEO tip top and Bob's your uncle, surely. If he can thrash you doing this guff, you can thrash him back doing not so guffy guff.

There's probably somone on here'll do it for you for a few beers and the karma boost
