I am looking for a product to import and sell in the UK that is currently emerging in the US but has not yet reached a mass market here in the UK.

I have been looking into retail trends etc but nothing jumps out at me.

I remember in the 1990's I was in NC and saw a fish that sings in K-Mart, thought it was a good idea and joked that I should import it to the UK. In 2000 Billy Bass Mouth was the biggest selling Xmas gift in the UK and a businessman who lives not far from me here in the UK, Barry Moat made millions!

That was one fish that got away!

So give me your ideas and if I make a fortune I will be sure to reward the person who points me in the right direction...

Thought this thread might have inspired some sensible suggestions.
 
If someone had a great idea, why would they share it with you? don't mean to be rude hut that's life... I know I wouldn't be eager to share my plans to take over the world with you.:/ if you want someone to share info with you, explain how you can help the person sharing. People in general need to stop looking for something expecting to give nothing...

You know what - I have been a member here for a while now and have contributed where I can - I certainly don't expect something for nothing and feel pretty insulted that someone who has only contributed 14 posts is telling me what to expect from other forum members.

As it happens I am a donor to this forum and have spent a lot of time giving advice to members here via PM following a thread about legitimate funding for UK businesses. I have also purchased several services and products here.

I expected a bit more - I was not asking for anyones 'plans to take over the world' I was asking people who are in the US to point me in the right direction. And YES I would reward someone who gave me an idea that made money.
 
So many ways I could go with this... one: get your panties out of a wad... two: try explaining how you are going to reward because up until my comment you looked like a freeloader. three: you could be the damn queen of England and built schools for the homeless and I still wouldn't care about your glorious past. we live in the now. tell me what you have to offer now, and we can talk strategy. in summary you appear to be fishing for other peoples ideas thus why you get t-shirt comments...

2. I think I mentoned in the first post that I would reward.
3. Why would I want to talk strategy with a complete twat?
4. Would you have ever found this forum if you were not fishing for ideas?
5. At least the t-shirt comments were either humurous or helpful unlike your posts.
 
I am resurrecting this old thread just to let you know that I received a PM from a newbie with a product idea when I originally started the thread in June 2010.

I have been working on the product since July 2010 and have finally launched in the UK. I already have interest from MAJOR retailers here in the UK and hopefully will have my product on the shelves in the next few weeks.

I cannot find the pm I received ? it looks like the member has disappeared but if the mods know different please let me know. I want to give the member a % of my first order as a reward for giving me the idea. If we cannot locate the member then I will donate the money to BHW.
