hey every body, as you know iv bee on this forum for 2-3 months not roughly and i have been asking alot of questions until recently.

Point of Thread: I am #2 for a 6,6k local traffic entertainment niche with $11 CPC.

Problem: its a niche that wont stay hot for a while ( maybe 2 more months)

How should i monetize it?

Right now i have 2 adsense blocks in it, and i put a CL up. I got 1 lead yesterday but non since then. Please let know how to monetize it, so i dont sit at #1 and wonder why im not making money after all my work!

thank you BHW #1

i did, but things change. i didnt know all the options in the beginning, since i was NEW, so i did the best i can. So now im #2 and im trying different methods, i dont think thats wrong. i just need ideas of how other people would monetize it.

Honestly I'd start researching for the next site and try to sell the site you have while its rank is still up

i havnt made more than $5 off of site rite now, doubt i can sell it for just being #1

NEED MORE INPUT!

Go to google insights, search your keyword and find trending topics about it. Update your blog with these topics (write unique content) to stay on the same position.

"Local traffic entertainment niche" that is temporary is pretty general, when it comes to trying to give advice. If it's a travelling show of some kind, you could offer banner advertising or possibly coupon discounts for attendees that you get a cut of.

Try to get into the head of the people who you think would be most interested in what's on your site and most likely be entering the keywords you're ranking for. Brainstorm for the types of products or services you think that model individual would most likely be interested in. After you get some ideas, do some relevant searches on Offervault, Clickbank, and Amazon to start with.

sry to say this but its never a good idea to go for a niche that is only hot for s short period of time. look at osama's death and amy winehouse. they were short term niches that people made money on short term and they abandon the niche right after.

my best suggestion is to find a relevant cpa offer and do your best to promote that. relevancy is key. who is your target audience and what do they want? find out what they would like and promote that.

i have a website that promotes 1 superhero and i throw amazon dvds, cpa, and tons of merchancise at my audience.

2 in the SERPS doesn't mean much to us, let us know how much traffic are you getting? And is the keyword 6.6k exact, broad or phrase match?

im getting 30-32 visits daily and its exact locally

and i just got on and hr before i posted this so i dont know how much more traffic i will get YET

Is it a once-in-a-lifetime thing, or is it a yearly 'seasonal' thing that will come back around this time next year?

Whichever it is, you can always make money with an authority site by selling advertising (links in blog posts) privately. So I wouldn't worry too much about the event which it's targeted for passing, you can still monetize.

Too sell links privately, contact seo companies and other commercial websites that are related in some way to the content of your site, name your price for the blog post and voila, you're in business. Don't worry about contacting white-hat SEO companies, you will find that most of these so called white-hat companies do a lot of their link building by purchasing blog posts privately. The idea being that if nobody says anything, nobody can prove that the link was bought.
