I have quite the situation.

I just got back into selling on ebay. I had to call ebay to get my limit raised and the rep told me, "Well, since you have not sold in 12 months on this account we can not raise your limit now. Once some of your current items sell please call us back in 30 days from now and we can re-evaluate your account."

My limit was not that high ($5,000) and I don't know if I should just make another account and build this up to exceed the selling limit or if I should remove my pending listings, sell what I have and call back end of December.

The problem is I wanted to move a LOT of volume during Christmas.

Any advice?

just get a new email and open a new account up, that's what I did last week, now my new limits are 1k items or 25k value.

Thank you for all the good advice my friend.

I do have people buying these items. I have a few 'tricks' and 'twists' to conventional drop shipping methods which are making me a pretty penny despite having razor slim margins. It is nice to say the least.

I will just ride it out for now. My ebay adventure is only taking 3 minutes a day to fulfill orders and make me money. So I will take it passively and wait for my limits to increase.

They will raise you limit, but then you have to wait 30 days to do it again...

eBay can also give you better limits in your new accounts, under same name.

If you have sold items and even if it has not been 30 days, and you do not want to create a stealth account I would just try to call them again to see if they will raise your limits especially due to the holiday season and people are buying now. Even though they may not raise the limits if you have sold items after you last spoke with them and have gotten positive feedback from those items you should easily get your limits raised.
