So I got this idea...

Buy a car at $7000

Hire those graffiti kids (which charge DIRT CHEAP as long as you provide the paint) and let them do something like that...

(So change the design of the HOOD only)

And then sell it for $13,000

Pay $1000 to the kids
Make $5000 in profit

What do you guys think?

Who is going to pay a $6k premium for a flaming lion on the hood of their car?

I would actually pay a premium NOT to have that shite on my car;)

Well no one is going to know the ORIGINAL price of the car.
I mean SUUUURE they can go and find out that the average Honda Civic (03) is around $7000.. but.. Grr.. I don't know :(

If your market is idiots, then this should sell well :fish2:

So you're buying 10 then, right?

Lol jks jks
Shit, I thought it was a pretty neat idea... nevermind

What you're missing is that drives the value of the car down significantly. I used to do a little street racing back in 2000 with imports and guys put like 100k into $10,000 honda civics.

When they went to sell them they got about 5 grand over book value for all the shit they put in.

If you find a buyer who really loves flaming lions you're golden :) but it can be pretty hard to find that guy.

I'm always buying cars, new, old, and I actually discriminate against great old muscle cars because they were owned by some puerto rican drug dealer who had to paint gay flames on the side.

I have sold cars for 10 years and if you put that on the car, you might be able to sell it fr $3,000. Mods on a car rarely make it worth more.

A tip for people here. If you are selling or trading a vehicle in and you just put new tires on it, or a new battery, or any other addon - your vehicle is not worth any more money. It is worth less if it doesn't have the new options. Aftermarket graphics and paint ruin values on vehicles because most people have different ideas about what is cool or attractive.

It looks like a neat idea however this is not pimp my ride when you only change the hood design. Also, in this economy who'd pay more for a car that's $6k less value than the price you'd sell it for?

lol you wont make 6k profit but a few 100's still cool idea lol

Why not market to people who already have cars who want to do something like that to it?

vinnylingo, I was going to post it her.
But wondered if I would get flamed AS HARD LMAO!

Problem with that is that... I will charge around $2000-$5000 for a design like that
And pay the Graffity kids like $1000

... What if the dude comes up and says, "Hey... I'll pay you $1500 but come and work for me" LOL

This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. No one would buy that shit.

get some graffiti kids? The way that car is done is with an airbrush and a very professional job that, not just some kids with cans of paint. Trust me even the thinest tipped cap on a montana can could create those lines.

This whole thing is ridiculous.

Kay, is there any other ofline marketing which is doable?
Im great at talking to people, and never shy. Can keep up a conversation, etc

Can you ship that car up to Canada for me?

If so, I'd be interested in buying.
