Offtopic in MNS

Simple question, is it worth going offtopic in you EMD Micro niche site? For example my site is redwoodplanktables.com I choose to write few posts offtopic with keywords like, blue hard steel chairs, best blue chair for sitting, etc, etc.

Would it be good thing, bad thing or just useless waste of time thing ?

You better stay in your niche and don't post offtopic stuff, Its just my opinion but you can try positing other stuff to. That the reason everyone recommend to get a non emd domain.

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you are targeting the same audience.
