im looking to send out about 100k - 200k emails daily long term it might be 500k emails daily so i need a VPS or something that can do this without spending thousands of dollars.

You dont need VPS. There are some hosting companies that offer e-mails with no limits - depending on whether these emails are spam or ordered newsletter. Try bulet proof hosting bp-server (i cant add links)
