    Hello,

I currently run a onshore webhosting company which is going pretty well. However I see a lot of people on Blackhatworld are looking for offshore shared hosting! So I would like to ask the following how much are you guys willing to pay for shared webhosting? Say if it was the same prices and same specs as hostgator would you be interested? Since i can easyily set up the servers in netherlands or russia and have the hosting company up and running with great support my onshore hosting company it self currently has around 3000 clients. So let me know how much you are willing to pay ?

    Thanks

For users worried about US law, I don't see much advantage to off shore servers with you onshore.

I think if you are in the US then you are subject to US legal actions no matter where the servers are located.

    IANAL

@other Henry : Not totally true actually. I also run a webhosting company (far cheaper than limelike no offense ;)) and offshore or onshore is depending on the country under the contract has been made of.

If limelike is living in the USA and he has an offshore company in nederland, then it would be an offshore hosting under neederland's laws.

The original post only mentioned an 'onshore' company renting servers in Europe, if he set up a company in Europe that might change my opinion.
