About the 4th point, i think its the hosting provider that will inform you about any abuse, rather than a client informing the host.

I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, they were referencing the fact that it's best to discuss with your hosting provider(s) that abuse will be actioned within a sufficient timeframe (e.g., 24-48 hours) and therefore there is no need to escalation.

If you have a sufficient set-up, this is no issue and actually can ensure a smooth relationship for all involved.

Great list Lowk3y, I'd also probably say 2 and 3 - again dependent on what's on offer - can also go hand-in-hand so make sure this is discussed too. Any decent host who is offering what we need, will always try to accommodate, unless what you want to host is either a) against their AUP/TOS or b) very bad stuff (in which case - F you and you deserve what comes to you)
