From what I've heard, nearly all countries that provided offshore services are still reporting to the IRS. The IRS has closed a lot of the loopholes.

I don't do any offshore banking, I just pay my taxes and move on. :)

Thats why you have to put the assets under the control of a foreign company with a nominee ceo, that you can trust.

You obviously know more about it than I do. I'd rather pay my 25+% than trust someone with 100%.

Of course that's the way to stay in the game in the long-run!
I do it the same way, so no need for off-shore stuff

Talkgold is not bad. After all I use Webmoney with a Debitcard. They are so many exchanger out there, you can buy anything with it.

Google "sovereign man" you can get a free daily newsletter that will probably touch upon offshore banking about once a week. What others have said are right, banking loopholes have been closed and the offshore banking community is more about openness and compliance then it is about tax avoidance.

I am a member of the paid forum, and if you are serious about this, its really the only way to go. You get what you pay for, I guess (its 300+/yr). One part of their members only message boards is dedicated to offshorebanking. You can ask any question you want and you will get a detailed answer.

I'm the same way, it's really just not worth losing sleep over.

I'm going to have to right a pretty fat 5 figure check to the irs pretty shortly, and as much as it kills me, I'd rather do that than risk losing my freedom.

I'm already getting this newsletter but is it really worthy $350 per year to be a member?

I think it is if you were going to open an offshore bank account or obtain a 2nd (or third passport).

If you are not ready to take action, like tomorrow, then it is probably not. The reason I think it is valuable is because you can spend a lot of money opening and offshore account in a certain country and you don't want to find out later the limitations to that country, etc...

Having said that, I had a financial downturn myself, and it is difficult to apply any of the information w/o a good amount of money or assets.

I don't log in all that much currently.

Depends on your location. If you are from the US you will have a hard time and a high risk of being busted. In my country it is totally legal to have a company at an offshore location.

I'm not from the US, I'm from south east Europe and I'm making 5 figures a month so it's time to setup something offshore. I don't wanna raise eyebrows in my banks with weird deposits coming from abroad
