have no idea how any of you are making money with acai or anything offline...we put out over 2k flyers and 2500 emails to go with it, for a whopping 25 hits.....seems damn near impossible

I think you are correct.. I think a lot of people think they will throw out some fliers and get 2-3% response, when I believe the response is much, much less.. You got 1% but did you get any turnovers? I would bet, no..

If you cannot make money off .001 response then don't do it..

I read a thread in here by Peterbenson I believe, and his thing was successful. Was hoping to have the same success. 1 percent return is all that is needed to turn a nice profit, fastmoney, have you read thread? does it seem like it will work? id love to believe it will, but my experience the past 2 days is killing me. I have no problem walking around putting the flyers out, as long as there is some profit there, and being i see flyers everywhere, i would think there is. Maybe instead of acai, do the google biz kit? Any imput would be great

You do have to admit that you're doing the most UNTARGETED marketing there is. You're pushing flyers on the general humanity. My guess would be there's 5% of those people who are looking to actively lose weight. NOW start with those numbers and try to get 1-3%. It seems you're working harder, not smarter.

Did you have any type of call to action? Any freeby types of reports to get them motivated to sit down at their computer and enter your email in?

I agree, its totally untargeted, do ya think the google kit would be better? everyone is always looking to make money, after all thats why were all here too. I just thought acai would be good offline, I was wrong. What are your feelings on google?

What's the "google kit"? My feelings on Google? It's the only game in town. (basically)

I've spent the last year hammering my head into every way of making money online. I finally narrowed everything down to SPECIFIC niches and products. I'm finally confident that I can make a website that pulls in $1 a day - and it takes me roughly one day to research and build it.

$1 a day?? Why bother? (you may ask) Well guess what, I've got 365 days this year to make many other websites. I KNOW I can make 100 that make $1 a day. I'm on my way...

I tried marketing several products offline including Acai Berry with no results. The only offline product that yield result for me is money making niche and payday loan. It is estimated that 1 in 3 Americans somehow would like to start their own business so if you are promoting a money making program you have a better chance of making some sales.Go*gle biz kit and survey programs seem to do well.

Acai berry? [lisp] That's, like, soooo five minutes ago! [/lisp]

Seriously, there are better things to promote. Treat offline marketing like online, meaning think niche and target marketing. Random flyers at bus stops and grocery stores are a waste of time. Get an offer for some type of niche product and put up flyers somewhere where people will care about it, if you're gonna go this route. (Ex: somebody mentioned payday loans, try something like this by the pawn shops, OTB's, unemployment offices, etc.)

Well Peter mentioned he had some success with Google kit and such in apartments, so im going to try that tomorow and report back any results. Also, I woder if the money making things would work well at colleges? Figure college kids are always lookig to make easy money, maybe have some luck there....I seriously have about 15 colleges withi a 100 mile radius of me, and large ones at that. (Philly area)

I agree.. the thing that you need to realize that, just like online marketing, you need to try to get targeted traffic. with offline marketing it's tougher to get the targeted marketing unless you are buying lists etc... but you can try to get as close as you can to the target audience. for example if your product is about diabetes it probably wouldn't make sense to distribute it your local campus/college. something like that would be good to target a parking lot mall outside a hospital or a clinic.

so long story short, try to get as targeted as possible.
