Ive got a fairly specific phrase in google that gets a limited number of search results ex. 'dallas doctors' that i have several sites ranking on the first page for with Google Analytics attached. Problem is when I look at the geographic data to make sure my visitors are local, the ip addresses are all over the United States. Is this normal ?

Are all the visitors coming from that phrase? You might be ranked for other stuff as well...

Try to get more local traffic to the site thru other means or SEO more for other local keywords.
