Hey guys,
This is an idea I have been playing with let me know what you think.
This is for people that are doing offline SEO for local clients.
I can imagine that one of the biggest problems with ranking local websites for your customers is that the time frame in which the client expects you to rank them in the SERPS is just unrealistic. We all know that its not an overnight job and can take a long time to rank anything but for someone who is not involved in SEO does not know this, all they see is that its taking a long time and they are spending alot of money.
So for the method what if instead of just signing clients and ranking their websites as we normally would, instead we buy say 50 domains all aged one year or more (to help prevent sandbox) spend a few months building links to these domains creating sufficient link juice flowing to the domain.
Now to do this you could use your own tools such as Scrapebox, Xrumer, Senuke etc, or what I had in mind was to sign up for services such as dripable, linkpushing and linklicious(just an example use whatever you like), let these automated services run on all of your domains for a few months. This will obviously cost some upfront money but nothing you wont make back very quickly.
Once a few months have gone by and you have created a good amount of backlinks to each domain you can then start to approach local businesses telling them that you will rank there website on page 1 of google within 1-2 weeks. You have to make sure whatever keywords you are targeting that the keywords aren't of high difficulty.
Now when you sign up your client and im sure you will with claims to rank a website for them in under 1-2 weeks you will then go and do a 301 redirect from one of your domains to the clients website. This will then pass about 70-80% of the link juice that was originally flowing to your domain but is now going to theirs. This also works great as an on / off switch if your client decides not to pay you. You could then go sign up a new customer and have him or her ranking quickly.
I think at a rate of having 30-50 domains would create a very high amount of generally auto-pilot income after all of the initial work you have to do at the start. But atleast you dont have to deal with the client nagging you asking why they havent moved up in the SERPS yet
