This isn't exactly the thing that's often mentioned here but I thought I would get some ideas off people.
I've just landed a sales job for selling Solar Panels. My jobs only requirement is appointment setting. I go door-to-door and convince the home owner to make an appointment with my team leader who then converts the sale.
My commission per sale is $300.00 wether I sell the smallest package or the biggest it's irrelevant. There's absolutely no retainer so I need to start making sales the first week I head out.
My team leader told me I can make appointments via phone calls, door to door or any legal method I can think of.
Things I've thought about so far (besides going door to door):
- Bandit Signs (Signs you see stuck in the ground in high traffic places)
I'm thinking that once the whole sales process is complete and the solar panels are installed I will head back to the household and offer them a "rebate" for letting me place a bandit sign on their lawn for "x" time period. The bandit sign would say something like "We're saving ??% on electricity with solar panels! Call Anon today to get started!"
- No Obligation Qoutes (Flyers, Dropcards)
Placing flyers under windscreen wipers, on notice boards and drop cards in mail boxes (for people who arn't home) Will have to check legal information for Australia.
The target audience is Homeowner, Powerbill over $350 and Middle aged.
My question / purpose for the thread.
Do you have any advice? Any ideas to generate more appointment settings etc? Thanks.
