    • There are four times as many mobile phones sold as PCs
    • 1.3 billion people worldwide can access the internet on their mobile devices
    • 87 million U.S. mobile users subscribe to mobile Internet services
    • Less than 1% of .com, .net, or .org sites are mobile web friendly
    • The mobile web offers significant opportunities to generate additional income
Just saw a thread about a program teaching how to market to offline businesses. Here are some FREE sites that allow you to create Mobile Websites and create them for local offline businesses.

Many local businesses have a generic website or might not even have one, this allows us to market to them. Charge whatever, a website on Mobisitegalore-com takes about 5mins to create, and is published instantly. You can even create it from your Mobile Phone!! While your customer watches! It even has HTML capability, pics, and Zinadoo-com allows Video.

As a kicker or bonus for the local business, especially if they don't have a website at all, and are a unique local niche (dry cleaning, pet wash, window tint, etc.) is to post their new website to Google Maps Local Business Listings. If you have any knowledge of Google Maps, this can enable you to get their new mobile website on the first page of Google for their Local Business Listing. They go from ZERO internet business to the FIRST PAGE of Google!! How much would you pay?:)

P.S. Remember that the TITLE of your Google Maps Local Business Listing does NOT have to be a business name! It should and always be KEYWORDS for your niche: San Diego Window Tint, Los Angeles Dry Cleaning, Houston Lawn Care, etc.

Hope this helps a little to everyone here.

    Thanks for the share!

If you happen to get their mobile site ranking high in Google Maps, what about
those viewing the site on their PC? I know it's optimized and built for mobile phones,
but do you think it would hurt the business in any way from the PC traffic?

You don't, you rank their main site with a javascript or .htaccess redirect to
the mobile site if anyone tries to view on a mobile device.

I never had any luck myself with javascript working for all phones.

    For the .htaccess file:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "Windows CE" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "NetFront" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "Palm OS" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "Blazer" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "Elaine" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "^WAP.*$" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "Plucker" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "vodafone" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "iPhone" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "nokia" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "symbian" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "Opera Mini" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "BlackBerry" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "j2me" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "midp" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "htc" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "java" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "sony" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "android" [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} "AvantGo" [NC]
    RewriteRule (.*) hxxp:// [R,L]

(You will have to fix that last line)

    Hope that helps.:D

The numbers do vary a little but with the massive growth rates it hard to keep up.
Since we are talking Mobile let talk about the future also. I posted this in another thread thought it might trigger some grey matter into action.

Yes there is and its much better than what you asked for in your post.

MobileText Marketing is about to Explode onto the worlds 4.6 Billion mobile phones, compare that to 1.7 billion internet accounts and you can quickly see where the next BIG trend will be.

The world is moving to mobile phones, the new generation of Mobile Phones offer far more than just calling, they now have Text and emailing, plus video viewing, internet access and more.

Over 90% of all text messages get seen, compare that to emails less than 5% and 90% of emails are spam.

75% of mobile phone users admit they cannot live without their phone.
More than 95% of teenagers wouldn't be seen dead without one.

It is the No1 personal electronic accessory.

Huge money was made in the early Boom time days of,
    Online video,
    Online shopping
    Social media,

Everything above will fail in comparison to whats about to happen when mobile phones start to do most everything that can be done via the internet and more.

More and more Twitter and Facebook users access their accounts
through their mobile instead of a desktop or laptop computers.

1.8 Billion people with access to the internet just became small
compared to the 4.6 Billion Mobile users and lets not forget that these 4.6 Billion phones are being constantly carried around in someone's pocket or purse and not sitting on a desk somewhere.

Commercialism via mobile phones is about to EXPLODE just ask Pizza hut and Domino's who revenue's Exploded when they introduced the mobile phone apps.

There's more to come but the question is how do we as individuals cut ourselves in on a piece of the actions and make Bank ?

Remember this, the money is where the most eyeballs are and there are 3 x as many eyes directly fixed at mobiles everyday than anything else currently..

Mobile Text Marketing / Direct response mobile marketing is coming.

Just look at what American Idol achieved with text messaging.
