Well here it go's, for a few month's now i've been thinking of going into the mobile offline niche, so took a gamble on putting something into action.

By the way this was done in the UK and we officially generated £3,861 + £340 in recurring monthly fee's in JUST 3 WEEKS!

    Here's what we used:

:Built a simple website, just a basic one. Explaining how we built mobile versions of websites. On our site we priced our mobile versions at £399 (we never charged this amount)
(Simple, as in a clean sleak looking website)

    Cost = $250

: We then went to every mobile provider we could find that are offering free simcards, like... Orange, t-mobile, vodaphone etc.... We made sure that these simcards would have unlimited txt's each month if we added a £10 onto the sim card.

: A mobile website builder. there are many out there. Please have a look around, you can build mobile versions of websites in a matter of minutes.

We bought ours from the dreaded warrior forum! the only thing that was good to buy!

Edit : I'm currently using this to build my mobile websites http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...te-unlimited-amount-highend-mobile-sites.html

(by the way, i'm no way affiliated with the above)

    Cost = $29

so in total we spent around $300 (£160) this is without including adding money to sim cards.

    What we did:

By using yellow pages (yelp.com) we searched for businesses that had a mobile number and a website (which many do) by using our free sim cards which adding £10 to them activated unlimited text's, we sent out a txt message to business owners saying on the lines off :

(i won't give away the exact message away)

(use your head and create your own message)

    Hey,

More and more people are using there mobiles everyday to get online, has your website got a mobile version? your missing out on the mobile hype!
We create mobile websites, we have a special offer lasting today only. Save £300 and have your mobile website built for just £99, visit mywebsite.com to check out our portfolio, or give us a ring for more details.

Now, our message went over the minimum characters per message, so every time we sent a message we sent out 2 messages in one, due to being over the limit. Thus why we sent off for multiple free sim cards so we could utilize the unlimited txt's from different sim cards.

We sent around 100 txt's a day using....

    Yellow pages online
Yellow pages (the book) The UK household recieves a yellow pages book every year.
    We used newspapers
    Magazines
    etc....

We are averaging 2 sales a day at £99, we also put in a charge of £10 maintenance fee per month. some have baulked at paying the maintenance fee, but a lot just say yeah that's great!

In our first week we got 12 sales, this is by txt'ing only monday to friday.

I just wanted to show you a simple method, that we had put into action.

Our next step is to outsource the mobile website building and then hiring a cold caller to take this business further.

Put your own twist on it, build your own mobile website empire, I'm sure in your own countries you have a similar thing to yellow pages (list of businesses that people can contact)

Now get started on your own mobile business :)

What the reasoning behind multiple simcards if they have unlimited txt?

in the Uk, unlimited means 5000 txt's. Now because we are sending messages longer then the usual 160 characters, each message we send is sending as 3 messages.

so if we send 100 txt's to 100 businesses, we are actually sending 300 because of the character length of the txt, thus by using multiple mobile simcards we are able to send out a lot more txt's.

do you get what i mean?

Wouldn't it be possible to just use Google Voice or Whatsapp?

Explained in the post above yours. here in the uk, unlimited text's are really 5000 and some are 3000 sending limit.

I'll try and make it simpler :

We write a text message that go's over the (txt character limit 160) by going over that our txt message we send takes 3 messages to send to one business mobile number.

we are sending 100 txt messages a day, and because we are using 3 messages at a time, this is equaling 300 messages a day. by the time we have sent txt messages for 10 days, we have hit a 3000 limit on certain simcards. thus the need for extra sim cards. Yes some have 5000 sending limit and some have 3000 sending limit.

In the UK unlimited doesn't mean actually unlimited messages. they have set number which is the above.

    Hope that clears it up.

Haven't tried them, but worth a shot.

Thanks for the little twist. I started with email and phone calls in my locality, just 20 so far to have a feel. No contracts yet, but 1 to 3 possible close. I'm planning to raise the volume as soon as my website & mobile site are done :). I might give the sms option as try well. Nice to see some are having success with mobile site mktg.

Hi. Thanks for this thread. I have two questions for you. Do you include a link to the simple website in your text? How do the leads contact you and pay for the services? Thanks.

I include a link towards my main site that has my portfolio of mobile sites in the text. This also displays to them that the usual price is £399 (which is not, what i'm selling them for) so they see that they are saving money. Brits love to save money!

Mainly the leads either phone the number i text from or they send an email through our site online through the contact us section. I've had a few that txt back and said "no thanks" some have said yes, would like more details. to which i then phone them up just to go through further details, which there isn't much to explain about mobile sites to be honest.

Glad that was cleared up for you.

I don't know if your in the UK or not, but here in the UK each household receives a offline book "Yellow pages" which has thousands of businesses advertisements, a lot of these businesses add there mobile number.

There is also yelp.com which you can find phone numbers for businesses (mobile)

In the UK we have quite a few trade magazines that have small businesses, which have websites but are all on the go. So they literally use there mobile numbers quite a lot, which is why they list them on there advertisements. Obviously if your not from the UK, i'm sure you can research if your area has trade magazines, something similar to yellow pages.
