Well I'm writing this to keep track of my progress through marrying the bastard that is CPA and offline marketing. I'm using two methods that are prominent on the forums and have been uncovered and 'talked' to death. I decided a while back to shell out some cash and charge it to findout if it'll yield a positive ROI or not. Getting 10k flyers printed up for a Holidays themed offer as well as another 5k postcards for a different offer that was also uncovered here.

The 10k flyers for the Holidays offer will be door to door'd by my associates.

The other 5k postcards will be placed by another associate in the coming weeks.

As far as the setup on the domains I'm just doing a simple 301 redirect to the CPA offer. No need to blank the referrer as people are typing their address in and not 'clicking' anywhere on the web. This automatically creates a blank referer.

Day 1 - 5k postcards were professional design and sent to printer. Picking up these tomorrow for distribution and discussing the cost of the 10k upcoming. Domains/subdomains have been registered and configured.

I'm hoping for 2% conversion. Stay tuned.

I'm definitely interested in hearing your progress. few questions you can answer if you want, would be cool.
how much did you pay for fliers? i found a place for 5k for about 50 3"/5" 100lb stock
where did you find your workers? how are you making sure they get the work done?
i got others but i'll wait heh

4k flyers on different color stock back and front with color is going to be $270. Yea I know it seems high but its really 4 runs of 1k and not on a digital which makes it more expensive. Also going front in back that way my simple ad they will certainly see before it hits the trash. I'll need 6 conversions to break-even/have a small profit. That is only .15% of the 4k.

I found my workers through a popular online classified site. Also they have a vested interest to handout the flyers as thats the only way they get paid. Use your brain here obviously. It is a bit of work screening the responses and mapping people out where to go but hopefully it'll be worth it. Only one way to find out.

Good luck! I did this a while back and got much better conversions after I called them to set up a meeting, after they had received the mailing. Might want to pass on the phone numbers (if you have them) to your distribution team in order to bump up the conversion rates.

    What services are you offering?

I'm doing a CPA offer in an undisclosed niche. Around the Holidays it's something we all need. Money. So no need for the phone.

Picked up my postcards tonight and they look decent. Placed 2 on on the way home and didn't hit up anywhere else. Feeling kind of under the weather so I'll continue to hit it hard this weekend.

Discussed the 10k flyers with the printer and we're going to do 1k runs for all 10k so I can utilize tracking to know which offers working better in which neighborhoods. Flyers should be in hand by weeks end and be distributed also over the weekend.

One thing I know about flyers is that you have to do them in large numbers. A friend did flyers a few months back and his stats were 200 - 1, so for every 200 flyers he got someone to sign up for his offer. Please keep us up to date on how you get on. All the best.

Looking forward to your success, we all know money is tough over these holidays, so im pretty sure i know what your up to. 2% return on a 5k run would see a nice $10k+

    Indeed. :)

No spoonfeeding here but certainly the info is there if you read between the lines. Only problem I'm having now is demand for my volunteers. I've gotten 80 responses and have a spreadsheet of 35 people who are eager to distribute for me. If the initial conversions work out well I'll put them in play. Now I got them in a holding pattern to start in the coming weeks assuming all is good.

Nice to see someone else already starting.

I already found people who will be doing it for me, also a guy who is already handing out newspapers, and can just put the flyers inside them.

But I'm still not sure which kind of offer to market. I have these in my mind:
    - win free 200€ fuel (CPA 1€ E-Mail submit)
    - mobile offer ( Track your friends / children / husband )

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to make marketing for casino offers, it is not allowed in Germany. Maybe I try that, when I move offshore.

Anyway, will be interesting to see how your holiday offers will fall out. + subscribed

This is going to be very interesting to follow.
I don't know how the conversion will be, but if you advertise in lower-income neighborhoods it might be higher.

Picked up the 4k flyers yesterday and distributed 2k of them to workers this morning. Tracking links all setup and good to go as well as area of towns were mapped in Google Earth to give me a sense of where we are targeting. Left messages for my other 2 people but they are out of pocket so going through my list seeing if anyone else wants to pickup distribution in their place this afternoon tomorrow etc. On another good note my printer fucked up with the metallic ink so I got black instead of silver on my ad copy. He gave me 50% off though so :)

Well the stats have been slow to trickle in. Got 8 yesterday and 2 already this morning but zero conversions. All the stats are coming from the same distributor so I don't think 2k of my 3k have been started yet. I'm going to wait to see if I get more clicks today from their links and give them all a call to ensure they were handed out.
