Tomorrow I will begin another round of testing with offline cpa ads. I am doing both flyers and business cards, and will be constructing banners soon for highway overpasses (perfectly legal).

Anyone else experiment with this? Any success?

I have hired some kids to stick some business cards on cars, it certainly works and is scale-able as long as you can find the people to actually pass them out, and not just throw them away and say they did. To solve this issue I used some basic tracking and offered them a percentage.

Thanks TermsB. I am going to start scaling after these tests. I have done 3 rounds so far and have been fine tuning my methods. I'm going to have to figure out tracking softwares for when I hire some high school/college kids (pfft, i mean my peers).

My buddy's uncle pays him $14 an hour plus gas money to put stickers on ATMs and such. I'd say the best way to do it is have a separate URL for each person and pay them a commission.

Yeah I canceled this last batch's results due to the fact that the offers were redirected to something else because of the offer expiring without notice on the day of my distribution. Talked about pissed off. I am getting a graphic designer to make me rack cards as well as sticker designs so I can mass print them and hire between 3-5 college kids based on commission. I will make some success out of this. I know I will. Just gonna keep pushing till it works ;)

he must do pretty good with the stickers if he's able to pay his nephew 14/hr.

I used to do a lot of offline marketing with methods like you mentioned OP. As far as tips, I had the most success at college's running grant and scholarship type offers. I'm sure it didn't hurt that I had my super cute niece as a student there, and passing out my materials for me though. ;)

Keep doing what you're doing and I guarentee you'll find a method thats pulls solid numbers for you, as you've probably seen, it takes getting out there and doing it to find the gold.

This is an old method but it definitely works. It takes some time and some up front cost but it'll definitely pay off.

find a CPA offer for something cool like an iPad or free textbooks, etc. and then set up a domain to redirect to the offer to track your sales.

Once you have all of this, get some flyers with little tear off things on the bottom with the domain name and a small bit of info like "free ipad".

Put the flyers up around college campuses for max conversions (myself being a college student, i know my peers would fall for it). leave flyers everywhere you could imagine. hopefully people will see them more than once and begin to trust the flyer more! Put up 100 flyers with 10 tear offs and that's 1000 possible conversions. let's say 500 people take the tear offs, that's $500 in CPA conversions... and college students love to do shit with their friends so you might even get people who share the tear off with 3-4 friends!
