Offering social media to clients?

What exactly do you guys do? I have an SEO client that wants some social media done too. He's already been talking with a company and emailed me their proposal.. but asked if I could do it, since he trusts me. I've agreed to do it but now I'm starting to panic.

So I'll create him a twitter, youtube channel, myspace, facebook, linkedin etc. And then what? Buy fiverr gigs to get him some followers and subscribers? I'm pretty sure that's not what the professionals are doing. I understand the whole point in social media is networking and taking part in communities.. but am I supposed to do all this for his company? Post tweets and facebook messages every day?

Someone advise me on what I'm actually expected to do! :dance:

Really interesting thread - what I'm doing is actually managing the whole smm company, but this of course takes much time and I have only two companies I do smm for now. I post tweets every day and prefer real followers to just paid - you need potential clients who are really interested in what your company write and can offer. The same with facebook - if you create interesting page your friends would gladly like it and then recommend to others, the question is to have fb accout with thousands friends and interestig fan page to start with

We offer social media branding packages. We create a consistent image / identity across all of the social media channels based on the look of their website and business or product brand. The Facebook page, Twitter page, YouTube channel and Blog all use the same backgrounds, logos, colors etc. and the message is consistent across all of the channels. We link all of the channels together and add an icon for each on their website and connect the dots. After we sell them a branding package which usually means setting up and branding all 4 major channels, we then offer things like ongoing monthly updates, content, likes, etc., which you can charge a monthly fee for.

We do organize contests on Facebook pages, twitter to create a buzz and in return get some good money from the client.. Also you could create a custom page on Facebook, youtube for your client
