Offering a download file or using an Online Generator?

Hi - recently I see many websites using a "online generator".
For example Clash of Clans. In this online generator the people type in what and how much they want and to get it they have to go through the survey.
Others just offering a "clash of clans hack" and the people have to make the survey in order to download it.

I am wondering if the CTR and Conversation Rate is much different between these two options?
What is your experience with it? Do you see any difference?
