I have 3k subs within 3 months an a little under 500k total views. All organic views and subs, got offered a deal with Omnia media and they are partnered with many celebs and big youtubers. its a 70/30 split. I am not making too much with adsense now so would this be a good look?

70/30 split on what? exactly?

I've got 130 subs over the course of 5 years and make about $5 a month from a single video. That's not much money, but you can see the potential for that income to go way up with effort. I've got a total of 300k views in 5 years.

For you to do that in just 3 months... Its not viral, but it is quite good.

70/30 split on all revenue shares.

But yee I have been making a lot of original content and just got a green screen so I am doing a lot work and its paying off.

Well, personally I'd recommend holding off for like a year, and see where you are. 70/30 is quite a large cut on their part, and it leads me to believe they are trying to nab a new youtuber into a deal you may not want to be in come 1, 2, 10 years.

Maybe try getting into contact with some of those people who partnered and asking about their experience with it.

I would say Adsense will get you some more Cash. But it's all yours decision.

How long is the lock in for? That's the deciding factor.

I can do a 3 month trial, then that turns into 6 months or a year

Watch out! Many networks take a cut even before it shows up in your analytics now.
I found out from a big wig at a MAJOR network that this is usual practice now. They can put "you receive 70% (or whatever) of the net profits". Problem is, net profits is after they take out money for supposed promotions or to pay their employees (because after all, you are using their network and they need to pay their employees) or whatever. I was confused because I signed with a major network and they said I would get a 90%/10% split which sounded great. So I signed, only to find out that my analytics had A HUGE drop from what I was making from just adsense. I asked the network and they said "oh, thats just what you're making. Look at the analytics. It tells you everything." Then I spoke to my friend who works at another network and he told me what they do... Then I looked at my contract.. Sure enough, it says that the network is allowed to take out money of the gross profits and I get that 90% percentage out of the net profits.

My friend from the other network said some networks take up to 90% out first. The networks sell the ads on vids from $6 (the lowest) to about $12 on average. The big networks split it about 30% to youtube first (50% if their a really small network) so say we took the lowest amount for an ad $6 - 30% for youtube = $4.20 left. I should get 90% right? No, the network then takes out a percentage first then it shows up in my analytics as 70 CENTS.
Then they split that 70 cents 90%/10% with me. That is CRAP!
I went from making about $3.80 cpm to 70 cents cpm (even lower last month) after I signed with Machinima.
I have a pretty big channel too. Gets about 3 million views a month. I am barely making a living anymore and now I'm signed with Machinima for 6 months.
Last month I got over 3 million views and made under $2000.

Oh man plainjane! That completely changes my outlook on Machinima and is exactly the kind of thing I feared for the OP.
