How old is your gsd mate? We have a 2 year old called ida, she's really sweet even with strangers, not your typical German shepherd lol. What's yours like?

Pretty sure it's a simple UTI. At the worst, it could turn out to be a stone. Either way, good luck to you and the cat.

well vet did a check up , couldnt find any hardened area.
2 types anti biotics for 5 days vets says should clear it up
says at 3 seems to young to be anything to serious but if
the fluid in the urine hasnt cleared after 5 days medication
then gotta go back 4 more tests, so fingers crossed

she is just turned 8 shes a good all rounder - great with other animals
but if u value bodily parts dont try my door

Just got back from the vets myself yesterday. Our Isabella is turning 8 and has started to have issues in that department too.

yeh well for us 2 course meds they say should clear it up in 5 days
if not gotta go back

but they recommend wet food for urinary tract issue and water helps
keep it in check

When I was younger our family had this beautiful white cat with blue eyes named Sam. Sam was incredible. He was a very large cat, and was also extremely cuddly and affectionate. Sam would snuggle right up to me at night when I would go to sleep. As a small child, I never needed a stuffed animal, because I had Sam. My grandma made me a life-sized stuffed replica of him, though, for when we went on vacations. My parents got Sam a year before I was born.

About four days before my tenth birthday I noticed that Sam kept going to his litter box, walking in circles, and then leaving. He did this a good eight times in the course of an hour. I told my parents, and they took him right to the vet. I can't for the life of me remember what he had, but whatever it was, it was not good.

On the day before my birthday, they took me to the vet to see him. The once majestic cat had an IV and looked absolutely miserable. I was so upset. Mom and Dad both had tears in their eyes as my sister and I cuddled him and gave him a few last kisses. It was one of those memories that never really leaves your mind.

The next morning he died. It was my tenth birthday, and a thunderstorm knocked the power out at our house as well. I spent most of the day sitting in the middle of the floor in my dark room, holding my stuffed replica and crying. He had just turned 11, and had been a major part of my childhood.

People are surprised when I tell them how much I love cats as a six-foot, two hundred pound dude with a relatively deep voice. I don't know if I ever really got over losing Sam. I wonder if I ever will.

well sadly i cant compare to 200lbs sherbs cause as u no 12 months ago i was
down to a shadow 112lbs - still after surgery getting around 138-140 gettin there
but i have a mouth that drops people like poison gas , i dont play well with others
lols but thankfully i use it only on a$$holes.

touch wood as this little orphan guy is just turning 3, its just something mild a few
anti biotics will fix , only been happening 2 days, hes still eating well
active , drinking , tearing down our christmas decorations so heres hoping
just a minor bladder infection and the meds fix it.

vet couldnt find any hard areas around the stomach to indicate a crystal blockage
so thats good. so im hoping just a mild irritation he has, i try not to think the meds
wont clear it in 5 days, so wait n see.

well the little guy finished his 5 day course of 2 different meds and hes
stopped peeing blood in his urine and he back to tearing down the
Christmas decorations

touch wood - was just a minor bladder infection, switched his food to
a proper food thats easy on the urinary tract, expensive but
gotta do what u gotta do to keep em healthy

Our little guy is getting over an ear infection (he's got flappy ears so gets them frequently). Last night he itched a little too hard and scratched his ear. Poor little guy. Gave him a bath and then let him blow dry with a car ride with him halfway out the window and he seems to be feeling better. Keeping an eye on him with the security camera though.

But cats are evil.

@proxygo glad to find things are on the up.

I've had a bloody ear infection for 5 or 6 weeks that just won't clear up, despite 3 courses of anti biotics. Getting rather pissed off with it.

It's possible that you've built up a tolerance to the meds. I'd recommend a follow up visit with your doc.

I totally understand you. I have 4 cats at home and I take care of many others. I hope he'll get better soon.

Glad to hear the little fella is OK but shocked by Christmas decorations!
Bit early isn't it Mate, or are you one of those guys that celebrates Xmas everyday?
