What are the free options for the niche site related to writing

The website is ranking for all the alternative keywords except the main keyword and also in bing it is ranking on the main keyword 3rd position

How to tell google about my main keyword should be ranked I am trying my best but unable to understand I think the problem is low link profile

so from where should i start I want to cover free links and than move to paid

It's difficult to find good quality free backlinks. Google devalued most of the free backlinks and they are not as effective as they used to be. Most people build them for diversity so that the link profile doesn't look like obvious paid links.

It's better for you to start from competitor research and replicate whatever links that you can build yourself. If there are links from blogs, lists (like top 10 sites), reviews, etc., you can try to acquire them through manual outreach. You can also get press releases for low cost buy they don't add much value.

If Bing ranks it but Google doesn’t, it’s usually intent + authority mismatch.
Strengthen topical relevance, internal links, and earn niche mentions first links help, but alignment matters more early on.

for your writing niche site, start with free backlinks: guest posts on writing blogs, forums, quora answers, social shares, and niche directories. once you have a solid base, gradually move to paid, high quality links to boost your main keyword. focus on relevance over volume.

Start with free, safe off-page options: niche-relevant forums, writing communities, guest posting on other blogs, and social mentions. Also, create internal links pointing to your main keyword page and get listed in free directories these build a natural link profile before moving to paid strategies.
