oDesk. Started working there. When do you get paid?

Hi,

I've just landed my first job on oDesk doing an hourly rate job.

I've looked and it says that the week finishes on a Monday at noon.

Will oDesk then take the money from my employers credit card, and put the money straight into my oDesk account?

Thanks for any info

if you get works paid hourly, you will get paid 10 days after the week end.

If you work hourly in odesk you it is a guaranteed paid, whether you finish the job or not.

When I started in Im my first gig was on odesk, honestly its too slow with payments.

I worked at oDesk for over a year, honestly the people who hire at oDesk tend to be the lowest of the lowest expecting to get top notch work for $5. I had several attempts to have my work stolen and multiple projects where the client just stopped responding. My advice is to stick to hourly because as it was stated above it's guaranteed payment and to pay close attention to the client's feedback - this usually paints clear picture for you of how they are and how they treat their employees.

for me the secret is to go niche, if you got the knowledge, sell you high if you can, I just started and dont bother with anything that is less than 10-15$ an hour, there are jobs, there, where you can work, 15-20 hours per week, for months, is not really the best kind of business, but learn from it, and expand from it.
