    i have a question rather hypothetical.
    say i have 5-10k searches for a keyword got to my site a day would that help my ranking for that keyword?

    have 5k computer search a keyword on google and click on my site
    would that help my rank?

    All that is doing is giving you traffic which will help you with Alexa or something like that but it will not help you in the serps.

    Kind of surprised people are saying no to this - in my experience it does help.

    If users tyoe in "fat loss diet" and the third ranked site gets more clicks than the first, something tells you that one that gets clicks should me moved up and the top rated one that might not get so many should be moved down right?

    IMO this has been built into the GG algo for quite a few years.
