Odd question, but moving content from one site to another

Im going to move some content from one site to another. Decided on where I want what content to go. So some content is on wrong site.(all content is original, i created it.)

Now, I was thinking could I just redirect that link to the site where I want it, without losing much link flow? Like a temp 301, work sufficent?

Just trying figure out best approach

I know there has to be like million ways to do this. i have a quite a few ideas already, but figured i would toss it out there, figured maybe someone had a better one.

Hi, @blizz3010! 301 is still the best way to redirect. You may also consider limiting the changes on your content on the new site for optimization.

Talking about temp 301 redirect, I think you may want to keep redirect for a long time because from my experience, the new page may lose ranking if the redirect didn't stay long enough (like for 6 months).

There is no temporary 301. 301 is permanent.

If you want to move temporarily, you should do 302. From the SEO perspective, if you want to redirect a domain/page/url to another domain/page/url, it has to be 301 if you want to hold the SERPs on the new location as well.

Why would you want to redirect temporarily and not permanently anyway?
