Odd IG problem or is it a new thing?

I have made some posts recently that have both been doing very well. However, when I checked the hashtags I was nowhere to be seen. I looked at the Insights and it said I had a ton of people see it from the hashtags which I thought was strange.

I've just gone into another account and checked the hashtags for my main account and can see that I am indeed ranking as per usual.

So is this a glitch or can we no longer see our own posts in hashtags?

There might be a glitch or a shadowban. DO the old trick, wait 48h and post again something with hashtags and check again. I had this issue but I was seeing me in the hashtags but they weren't on my insights. I've switched the account from business to personal and back to business and that fixed it.

I don't think it's a shadowban because, as I say, I am ranking in the hashtags as proven by insights and viewing from another account.

Don't think you are shadowbanned. IG can be the most messy, I once noticed my post wasn't appear in one of the hashtags... I checked it out of curiosity cause it was the first time I was incorporating that hashtag in my collection and my post was showing nowhere, the rest of the hashtags were ok as usual.

Try to check the recent tab of the hashtag right after your post goes live, should appear there (in normal conditions)

Isn't that somehow related to how crowded and popular the hashtag is?

The recent posts on some hashtags change in seconds.

Is it also a part of your strategy, to aim for medium to low level (like some sort of Long Tails if this would be SEO, less traffic less competition) Hashtags, for longer visibily? or you just keep posting to the higher volume ones hoping that it will stick for long enough to get some traction?

Yeah recent posts change far too frequently unless you are going for low hashtags.

I target a range of hashtags from multi-million down to a few thousand. I know I've hit the top of 68million before, but I'm not even showing on 10K hashtags at the moment through my account. When I look through another account, I am there though.

It's not a big issue if I actually am in the Hashtags which looks like I am. I just don't want to have to switch accounts every time to check

Well i always had the feeling that when it comes to hash tags and not profiles, instagram have sort of segmentation of what to show to who, but it was just a theory i had.

But seeing a post only from another account makes this sound more logical. maybe try a third account, to determine whether the first one don't see it because it uploaded it, or if the second one doe's out of pure coincidence.
