Hi everyone,

I’m looking to start selling nutra / supplements online, but with a very limited budget. Most agencies or services I see here are offering rented Facebook ad accounts seem to require $1,000+ per month, which is currently out of my range.

I have a few questions:
  1. Are small-scale agencies actually worth it if your budget is under $1k/month, or are they only viable once you already have cashflow and proven offers?
  2. I guess I need to start solo and local first, I'm already selling supplements and nutra products but I want to upscale and get more leads daily then move national later at a medium-term
  3. If agencies are not recommended at this level, what’s the best way to start nutra/supplements with a small budget without burning money?
  4. I’m also confused about Facebook ad account renting:
  • Do agencies run ads from their own accounts and redirect traffic to my site?
  • Or do I give them access to my Business Manager?
  • Who actually controls the ads and budgets?

If someone with experience could guide me on how to properly start scaling or share some practical tips on what to focus on first, I’d really appreciate it.

Any real experience or advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

If your budget is under $1,000/month, small-scale agencies are generally not worth it. They become useful only after you already have cashflow, proven offers, and stable conversions. At low budgets, agency fees and rented ad accounts leave very little room for testing and learning.

Starting solo and local first is the right move, especially since you already sell supplements. Focus on one or two products, generate daily leads locally, and validate your funnel before expanding nationally.

With a small budget, the best approach is:

  • Run ads yourself
  • Use simple, compliant funnels (lead forms or Messenger)
  • Test with very small budgets
  • Avoid aggressive claims and scale only what already converts

Regarding Facebook ad account renting:

  • Most agencies run ads from their own ad accounts
  • Traffic is sent to your site or landing page
  • The agency controls the ads and budgets, not you
  • If their account is banned, your ads stop immediately

Giving agencies access to your Business Manager is safer than rented accounts, but still risky if they use non-compliant methods.

Focus first on validating one product, one audience, and one winning angle. Scale only after results are consistent.

With a budget like that, you definitely don’t need an agency—just download an anti-detection browser, buy a proxy and an account, set up cloaking (for example, on Cloaking House), and go ahead and run it yourself. It’s all pretty straightforward.

With that kind of budget, you may not necessarily need an agency. However, instead of relying on complex or risky setups, it’s usually better to focus on learning the platform’s official tools, building compliant campaigns, and testing your creatives and targeting. That approach tends to be more stable and sustainable over time.
