Nulled Themes

Hello,

This has been discussed many times before, I know. But, I am curious to know if any of you use nulled themes/and or scripts for client projects?

I've used them myself on personal projects but never for a client and I was thinking about doing it, and taking my own due diligence into care but I'm interested in any of you guys that have done it and how you protected yourselves incase something went wrong?

Not for clients. For testing and making sure I want to purchase said theme, then yes I will use a nulled copy.

Just bill the cost of the theme into your price and you'll be fine.

Never use nulled themes for clients. First of all they paid for at least a purchased theme if not more. Anytime you use nulled themes you stand
the risk of infecting a website with a backdoor. Use them as Arc pointed out just for testing pre purchase on a test site. =)

I haven't used a nulled theme for a client either, and would suggest for you not to. Try to test or run the theme through sites like Virus Total ( there are others similar), then on your local machine and crank up your security. If possible run it on WAMP, InstantWP, Xamp, or Xamplite through a sandbox using a top choice of WordPress security plugin. As of recent, even some of the best security isn't enough, I was checking out a nulled theme on one of my domains, and within 24 hours I was black listed on Google. This theme was ran through all of the above and still didn't catch the corrupted script somewhere in that theme. It would be an unnecessary risk of your business reputation if you did
