What problems can have a null theme? I know they can have malicious code, how can I verify if they have it or not?

Yes, they could have malicious code unless it's from a trustworthy source like Festinger.
You can use Astrogrep to search for injected URLs but others are more sneaky and inject base64 or some shit.

Well he owns a subscription service where you get get like 5000 different plugins and themes virus free, It is not in his best interest to infect them

Nope. You could hide it by obfuscating, but it could also be legit in trying to protect their code at least to an extent etc..Could be anything from getting a backlink to a backdoor that may allow them to access your site and publish spam etc,

Nulled themes generally have a backdoor for hackers to post content that redirects pages to advertisements. They create backlinks of these files from one site to another, so these pages rank on Google for a short time and they make as much money as they can within a short time.

To help people here on BHW who can't afford the theme. Who likes to try out the Wordpress theme for development phase. This! It's not worth it to use a nulled theme and risk your web server. I'll add when the super elite hacker forum isDark was around (RIP) he used to null themes and drop them on these exact BH forums so he could backdoor sites and drop cookies, build backlinks etc.

It's happened to me before. Used nulled theme and a malicious popup would appear on my site at random times.
