i am trying to figure out how people make money so i can copy them. can someone explain this to me?
how can a company like mapsgalaxy (MG) survive when people google so hard to remove the nuisance?
they are spending obviously a lot of money with adwords, and CPA pays $3.50, meaning they must be very profitable.
from what i see, MG is like a google or other toolbars, except that it's more aggressive? i would imagine when they change people's homepage, most people would be annoyed. i would immediately uninstall it. so how can they survive? and how do they make money? using PPV, pay per impression? why would people install/download them anyway now that there are goolge/yahoo maps and iphone maps?
is it less of a problem when its app is downloaded on an iphone? (e.g., not changing browser homepage?)
