Nudge from Page 2 to Page 1

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the SEO game, but have taken an interest in learning about it quite a bit. Many blogs and doc sharing sites have backlinks to my webpage, which has seemed to boost my ranking quite well.

It's gotten to the point where for one particular key phrase, my website appears near the top of page 2 on Google. Unfortunately, it seems to have been stuck here for quite some time.

Are there any extra steps to help give the website a 'nudge' to page 1 under my particular keyword? Would it help to get backlinks on any sites that appear on page 1 or 2 under the keyword?

If anyone is confused by what I mean, I'd be happy to clarify.

Try a press release, its a quick white hat way to get a bunch of backlinks, some will be no followed and others will be followed.
Should give you a little bump.

Social bookmarks may do it or you can create Tier 1 Web 2.0 > Tier 2 Spun Web 2.0 > Blast.
