Mate I upgraded to platinum and my membership was activated straight away, had no troubles with it so far! Every tweet I qeued was posted out at the time I set aswell

I keep going over the character limit due to images, is there any way you could make something to detect this?
Yeah, its quite complicated how twitter decide to count characters when pictures and links are involved. Im working on a solution to try and intelligently shorten any tweets entered that go over the 140 limit. I will keep you posted, and thanks for the heads up.
