There are still solid options like Ahrefs, Mangools, and even SE Ranking or Ubersuggest that are more budget-friendly and reliable for everyday SEO work.
adobe paid something like $1.3b for figma and still hasn't figured out what to do with it, so yeah, trust issues are valid. switched my saas clients over to ahrefs about 8 months ago, paying $399/mo for the teams plan vs what semrush was costing us at $499 for features we barely touched. keyword gap and site audit are honestly close enough that nobody on the team noticed the difference.
