It's been a problem for months. As the Rep system was not removed in it's entirety, we've been left with the notification if you didn't open it when the system was still in operation.
Although you can't be too observant if you've only just noticed it, so i'm sure you'll be fine for a few more months until the new site update really kicks in - which I'm assuming will fix it.
