Noticed something weird with tiered links lately

Been testing some stuff on a churn and burn site.

Noticed that tier 2 links seem to be giving more boost than direct links lately.
Anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

Just sharing what I'm seeing. Not selling anything.

Could be the specific sites and link quality rather than the tier itself, I'd test it across a few more projects before drawing conclusions.

i have seen this trend emerging in the recent past as well. this may depend on the niche nd the quality of tier two links. would be interested to see whether the effect persists over the long run or it faddes away in a couple of weeks.

Could be but I wouldn't assume tier 2 is inherently stronger, it may depend on the quality, relevance, indexing & overall link structure, results can vary a lot between sites & niches

Could be, but it probably depends on the niche.Link quality and relevance can make a big difference.I’ve seen similar things mentioned, but results vary.Hard to draw a conclusion from a few tests alone.

Yes, it worked well. Sometimes the second tier seems to have more impact because it strengthens the pages linking to the main site.

It also depends on the quality and relevance of the tier 2 sources, indexing, anchor mix, and how quickly the links are built.

this is actually something that I have come across before, although not in terms of tier 2, but rather in relation to the relevance nd quality of tiers. there might be some succesful test but I would observe them first.

Define tier 2.

RankerX? I highly doubt that the algorithm has changed positively towards that crap.

I've noticed something similar in a few tests. Tier 2 seems to have a more noticeable impact in some cases, although I think the niche and link quality probably make a big difference.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. Could just be the site though, hard to tell from one test.

What are your T1s like? Good internal linkage or basically orphaned?

It may be something about the T1s after all. However, personally, I think it would take testing in many locations before I concluded that tier 2 was the problem.
