Noticed Any Change On Google Keyword Planner?

Hey.

I was searching for keywords with Long Tail Pro, and started to notice that all the keyword results looked the same, like:

keyword 1 - Local Searches 10,100
keyword 2 - Local Searches 10,100
keyword 3 - Local Searches 10,100

and so on.... some of them even had more local searches then global searches.

So i went directly to google keyword planner, and search for those terms, and gives me no accuracy at all, showing this message too

"This page shows ranges for search volumes. For a more detailed view, set up and run a campaign"

1) Anyone noticed that change too?
2) If so, what can we do to get accurate keyword results without spending money on adwords campaigns?

Would really appreciate some alternative perspectives to this, because i'm not feeling like giving tons of money to google just to get accurate keywords results. Thank you

I noticed this too, JUST the day when I wanted to get started on something. Typical.
 
This started happening to me yesterday. I found this today:
Hi AdWords Community,

As of this week, previous technical issues affecting the Keyword Planner tool are now resolved. Some important updates to keep in mind:
  • Most advertisers will see search volume data in Keyword Planner as usual.
  • Advertisers with lower monthly spend may see a limited data view in the Keyword Planner. For example, you may see values such as 0, 1-100, 100-1K, 1K-10K, 10K-100K, 100K-1M, 1M+ in the average monthly searches column. In addition, other advertisers may trigger the limited data view by reaching a limit on the number of searches for search volume data.
  • Access to traffic forecast data will remain unchanged.
  • The AdWords API will continue to return full data.
These changes will ensure that AdWords advertisers are able to get the data they need to optimize their accounts.

Really vague message, and says nothing about how much "lower monthly spend" is. I don't understand how they can think that people will start a campaign if they don't have accurate keyword research first to calculate ROI.

Is this an attempt to force SEOs to start using PPC? Don't be evil...
 
i did see on the keyword revealer where i check the most that they don't offer exact searches any more ...... just a number like between 100-1000 or so .......
 
This is not a good move at all. i found the same in keyword reveller they are also showing the same in search volume. It sucks
 
Are there any decent paid or unpaid alternatives to the Google Keyword Planner? Any users of SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc, can recommend one of them?

I don't think you guys get it. Last year, Google released RankBrain algorithm that basically combine and group similar keywords together. That means in the future, in order to rank, you will need to use a lot of similar keywords in your post to indicate that you are not trying to match keyword. I just found out about RankBrain.me, the only tool that is cheap and provide exact Google search volume with RankBrain algo replications. Keyword matching is history now
 
There is a way around this, and i found it today in another thread. Its basically setting up another adwords account and accessing your original from an adwords manager account. I will find the link and post

Sorry to tell you this. I am not sure if you try it. But I already tried that. I have an MCC account linked with 3 other adwords account. It worked at the beginning and then Google seems to know and stop showing the search volume. So go for it while it lasts.
 
is it an accident? this is retarded, and if it is a change, it will probably be removed.
