I have a blog with 10 quality, self written articles that get tiny traffic.

I have about 100 not so quality (some spun, some poorly written) articles that I want to ad to my blog.

Would it be ok if you could not see these articles from the links on the blog, but they were in the sitemap?

This way people would not navigate to them to see how crappy they are, but search engine would send some traffic to it so I can direct them to my offer?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

instead of going through all of the trouble to hide them why don't you just rewrite them? Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes per article to make them readable. You'd get much more traffic this way.

What's the point? You are not going to get traffic from bad articles and on the off chance you get hit with a manual review your site is doneZO.

My sugesstions is use it for some tier2-3 linking purposes. I'm with Numbuh on this. Take a few minutes and take that crap material and turn it into gold.

*ADDED INFO

I doubt google even needs to manualy review those articles the bots will know instantly and knock you down some points.

I wouldn't recommend to publish these articles, at least not the way you plan to do it. For one, if these article pages show up on your XML sitemap but are not linked to from any other pages on your site, then that's a bad practice. A sign of poor quality. Also, you want to do it to gain some organic search traffic? Crappy spun articles don't generate organic search traffic. Do you self a favor and don't be lazy. Make those articles great, then publish them.
