Not showing the content mentioned in title

Suppose I upload a video on YouTube. The content is the video is just random content like say a person showing installation of wooden racks in kitchen. But I give title to video of something trending topic and video gets millions of views and I earn say in four figures from that video. Can YouTube in future take legal action against me for giving misleading title intentionally?

YT is full of videos with clickbait titles, so I doubt that anything serious will come of it. They can penalize the video or the channel. Misleading titles probably fall under their “deceptive practices” policy.

If the content doesn’t match the title, they’ll demonetize it or algo will limit its reach. If it becomes a pattern though it could lead to your channel getting a strike.
 
YouTube likely won’t take legal action, but they can demonetize the video, limit its reach, or strike your channel for misleading metadata. Repeating this can lead to channel termination. It’s risky if done intentionally.

So there is no legal risk at all? I mean it has never happened in past for similar cases?

There are tons of channels doing this , they keep religious titles on kids animation videos and still earn 5 figures, the risk is if someone reports, or youtube comes across this, channel can get de-monetized or even terminated, sometimes the algo will just suppress your channel.
 
YouTube can strike or demonetize videos with misleading titles, and even ban channels if it keeps happening. They usually won’t sue you, but they will enforce their rules. It’s safer to use honest titles.

You can always read the guidelines to be sure that you are not violating the rules
