Hey,

I added 20 x PR4 ******** Blog backlinks to my site.. and 1 x PR6 ******** blog backlink. However my SERPS have not changed in a positive manor, in any way at all! Infact. My SERPS have decreased by 5 places!

Yahoo site explorer has picked up the links.. however google, I don't know whats going on with? Is it just the fact that they haven't found them yet? Surely my SERP'S should have increased?

How long ago? How old is your site? How do you compare to the sites above you?

Most times you do not get an immediate boost. Stop watching your rankings every 10 mins and go build some more links. The process is a marathon not a sprint.

If you have a decent site and you keep steadily building your links the rankings will increase.
 
mixed link building is the key. Combine no follow do follow, low quality profiles and scrapebox links and high quality backlinks and you ll see the difference
 
You've gotta hang out and wait man, that's the nature of SEO. Its all about building links, and not waiting for results. Just keep building!

Chances are that those links are blog comments with a ton of other comments on the page which greatly reduces the overall value of the links to begin with. You'll need a bunch more to really see solid SERP improvements. Trust me, if all it took was a fool decent DF blog comments to get solid rankings, there'd be a ton of us that would own each and every niche.
 
Don't worry mate i see it with my sites all the time. I add links, positions go down ... i wait ... positions start to climb back up and this time i'm stronger in the rankings than before :).
 
It might be because they haven't been found by the spiders yet, or because they were not relevant. but either way it will take some time to see improvement. I know my sites have gone down by a page or more and then the next day they are up 5 spots from the original position. its a weird thing but you usually see improvement after some time has past. just keep at it and like everyone else said, be diverse with it search engines love diversity.
 
Mixed Link building is the way to go. Link diversity is very important.

You just need to have patience with google.

My sites sometime go down for few days or weeks, just to come back mega strong ....
