not getting indexed

I think your robots.txt will be fine.if you go into google webmaster tools on the left side choose Site Configuration and then Crawler Access it will show your robots.txt.
In your webmaster tools under Diagnostic then Crawl Stats has google crawled your website?

Yes thats fine.
You could submit the sitemap to google if you havn't but i really don't think that will get you indexed. all i do is bookmark a new site and it is indexed within 2 days.
Check your domain in market samurai or which ever tool you use to see if it has many backlinks. if it does and you know you didn't create many then it has had a previous owner.

i did everything. ping and this thing (i used this on 2 of my sites and they got indexed within hours). took off all my aff banners, checked source code and got rid of anything that said no follow, went through all the settings several times, manually submitted to google, made 2 social bookmarks and they are indexed, submitted a site map, tweeted my url, set up google webmaster tools and added google+1
checked way back machine, nothing there
checked backlinks on traffic travis, says "unable to find any data for that url"

still nothing
my domain is spelled out as "apple-ipod-review.org" (with the hyphens) for a not so popular product. im very sure no one has owned that domain before.
.............................
is re installing my theme worth a try? i'd have to redo all the theme settings eventually if i do that

or is it something as simple as they will not index my never before used domain for unknown reasons? does this option even exist?
