Thank you guys!
Congrats dude. How many links did ser make to you video ? if you want to tell .
I didn't mean to tell you to give up man, definitely not, I'm just saying that trying to achieve good position without actually watching your serps for different keywords doesn't make much sense. It's crucial to see what's going with your site's positions while you are trying different approaches
if ever thing fails... u must take care of your anchor text distribution. less than 2% of keywords used as anchor text works fine now a days. use more and more generic phrases as anchor text to post backlinks with 3-4% naked money URLs.
I find this sort of discussion entertaining really... because it seems to me quite simple really.
Pick and Easy to rank for Keyword - make a nice site / targeted content / custom / easy to navigate and you will rank Top 10 without many links - other than basic Social Media Profiles and a few bookmarks etc.
To move to Top 10 then you gotta do a little more manual work and you will hit it.
But as you move up the Keyword Difficulty level - then that requires time/consistent effort and a decent diet of longtail keywords in the short term - until you can build up authority.
There are no real long lasting shortcuts like before - so thinking GSA or any other tool will deliver that - is just not likely - and in fact used wrong - it just puts a huge target onto your site.
So yeah the ultimate tool has to come into play here which is your brain - don't believe the marketing hype around software - their job is to sell and make money.
You need to go manual. I only use GSA SER for tier 2. GSA SER is a software that uses a general code to create backlinks to forums, blog comments, websites and etc. Most of these sites are going to be spammed to death by other software because the general code are the same.
This is what I mean, a general code will be filling out a forum registration form that has name, password, password confirm, email, then captcha. Sites that do not fit this general code will be excluded like sites that also require state, country, and etc.
Going manual will yield far better results than going with automatic software.
Just because you don't how to rank, doesn't mean other can't. You need to be smart to rank sites.
You think a multibillion dollar printing machine ranks sites just by content and links?
Learn about ranking by carefully testing yourself. Remember that there is a whole team of brainiacs working against you! You have to play smart. Analyze and copy strategies from websites ranking top in your niche! The algo now works different for various categories.
First of all, start with a good hosting! I can't emphasize how important this is for ranking! I've seen ranks skyrocket when I moved sites to private servers. I guess their logic is Private Server = Speed = More Expensive = Higher Quality... I can only assume the logical point, but I can claim for a fact that it's a huge factor.
Build a killer fast website! Keep it simple and well organized! Less plugins = More Speed! Spend time optimizing cache plugin and use CDN! Analyze over and over till you make it jet fast! Search Engines will start making love to you.
Keep a simple and light design, use basic simple fonts, relaxing color combo, easy navigation. Make it sweet for the eye.
Write long engaging content, post questions and answer them in dept, use more facts and less opinions. Users want trustworthy content. More trustworthy content = Longer they stay on website = Google Authority.
Over 800 words is good, over 1500 words is great! Remember that people online read a lot, Long + Engaging + Facts = Lots of love!
Onsite SEO in my opinion is more important than offsite. I often say that great onsite seo generates great offsite seo on its own. Optimize image size, Add descriptions to all pictures, lead readers to next related article, use catchy titles,. Follow the big boys inner linking styles. I usually follow the About.com inner linking pattern. But it all depends on your niche. Again, analyze the top ranking websites for your keywords and follow.
Connect/Share your site and produce quality content for more platforms. Youtube, Slideshare, Pinterest, Forums. Drive traffic, call to action, and links will start coming in on their own. Then you make them stronger and add more weight on them
Build high quality links manually, gradually and continuously! Don't raise any flags, just mimic user behavior.
That's because all the links gsa ser creates are on the list of disavowed links that google knows.. shelve your gsa ser like i did and start using blog networks and you'll be ranking in no time..
