Not a very friendly forum

It didn't sound mean to me, but telling you that without adding anything productive was stupid. This forum has some helpful people but sadly they make up 5% in my experience. Help fellow IM'ers out, don't tell people what they already know.

Stop caring so much. There are plenty of jackasses out there, it is what it is. The 5 minutes it took you to write that post could have been spent making money. When / if you break through to substantial success, you'll get a helluva lot more hate than that. Hell, there's more hate than that being thrown at the average Joe already. Grow a thicker skin and learn to brush it off.

Only macdonjo3 can confirm this message... Anyway people will not come here and vouch that they are very good and help others... You want to know if forum is people friendly or not then ask questions and see their response... You will find lots of people helping you... But don't ask same question which is already answered many times in forum... First search and try to find and if still stuck then ask... Community always got mix of people so you can't judge community by behavior of few.

I employ 12 members of staff in my own business and I've never experienced any haters in the real world. I'm new to forums, so this is a bit of a surprise to me that people just randomly attack and make assumptions. My mobile company was an attempt at diversifying my offline SEO business into mobile to see if it was profitable and it turned out to be a bit of a slog and hard to scale without direct involvement while keeping profitability.

My gut tells me that he probably wants to have a go at a mobile web design company himself and is trying to fish for clues about whether or not I was successful. Potentially baiting me into revealing things. I could give my mobile web design Ltd company name and my accounts could be looked up on duedil or similar, but that's not going to happen.

I do agree the tone of the PM was a little antagonistic but that's his problem.

It's only your problem if you allow it to be.

You know he was making wrong assumptions anyway as you are not a 9-5er and you own your own business.

If that were me, I'd leave him to keep labouring under the false assumption that I'm loser - and just carry on being a winner (with a wry smile on my face).

Some senior members on this website solely use this forum to troll ive noticed, dont provide anything useful. Also if you look at a big enough old thread you will see senior,vip and donors banned so dont take anyone with a bunch of stars or blue username to seriously.

With one bad example, you've put everyone in one common basket though (even with that "If", the whole complaint is too much. I guess many people are going to be unhappy, even some might/will/may commit suicide-- in extreme cases ofc-- imo)... .
