You use any nootropics like modafinil or meds like adderall, vyvanse, concerta, etc for IM?

If so, what's your favourite and why?

    Asking for a friend... ;)

A friend of mine uses modafinil on occasion for the increased focus. He finds it works well when he is engrossed in a project and wants the extra boost. I'm sure adderall would work well too, but he hasn't tried it for this purpose.

You can try a healthy diet and exercise. The absolute best nootropics there is.

@IAlwaysWin is absolutely right, of course. First and foremost, a healthy diet and regular exercise have always been the most beneficial to me. Other "must-haves" I'd add is to get enough sleep (but not too much) and to have a consistent sleep schedule.

When I have all these things under control, I feel incredible both physically and mentally, ready to take on the world.

I have ADD and have been on Adderall for a few years now. I don't necessarily take it for IM as this is the only kind of stable employment I've ever been able to maintain, mostly because a main part of what I do is creating and maintaining websites which I legitimately enjoy so it's easy to stay focused. The sad thing is I'm one of those weird people that doesn't really mind having a J.O.B. but hey... The last one I held was great, I loved my job and the people there but even then I did not last more than 3 years. Honestly, I don't know how I even managed that because by the end of my first year I had sort of "mastered"every aspect of my role which caused me to become restless, unreliable and a genuine pain in the ass. I will say this, however, my medication benefits my IM work tremendously. I have better ideas and I either run into less glitches/obstacles or maybe it's the same amount but I'm just better at working around them and getting more done. It also helps me stay driven.

Can I ask if anyone has a recommendation for a non Rx alternative to Adderall? After so many years, I have to take a week off from it here and there to make sure it keeps working. Those days are HARD. Currently, I take something I found on Amazon and it was great at first but I'm kind of over it. Although it is a pretty effective product for what it is (non-Rx) and I still order it so I wouldn't not recommend it. It's called "GENIUS CAFFEINE – Extended Release" and there's quite a few sellers offering it so sometimes it's listed for less than $10.00 or 2 for 1 (same exact product, the difference in price is due to them competing for your business ;)).

This is what the container looks like in case anyone's interested....

YES. I started eating better a couple of years ago and the effect was obvious after about 2 weeks. In addition to that I started working out almost everyday, FIRST THING in the morning. As a result, I am a completely different person. A BETTER person :).

I have modafinil too. But I only use it like once a month. 200mg = i got panic attack / anxiety right after just few hours of using it, not to mention an insomnia after that.
100mg = just ok, but my stomach started to feeling hot after that and I have no idea why. First timer I use it (200mg), I feel high/euphoria like taking MDMA pill though. But after 5 hours, I got panic attack for about 1 hour, +insomnia for 3 days WTF?

Another favourite is kratom. The best. Since it just like an opiate type of drug. It will clear all your anxiety, depression, ADHD, with extra bonus EUPHORIA! Can only been using it 1-2 times max per month. Last time I use it straight for about 1 month. Then when I stopped it, I got really bad WD. RLS, body ache, insomnia, depression.
Plus kratom is pure addicted. DO NOT TRY IT!
