Noob's Journey to $20+ a day

My family has always been poor. We are below middle class and I'd even say that we're near poverty. I want to change that. I'm currently enrolled in high school, but I'd like to help out my family as much as possible. I've saved up over 3 years of birthday and Christmas money for this project (yes, I've been thinking about IM ever since junior high), now I have a good $300 budget. This will be my personal journey to making $20+ a day, and possibly upscaling any method that works to make even more. I've spent more time researching on Google than I have spent here at BHW, but I consider myself a bit competent in SEO (though, I suck at SEO and backlinking), html, and other "methods."

Method
I won't be using any one method. I'm starting off with Youtube + PPD + blog. If this doesn't work, I'll turn to another method.

Startup
Before I start making a log of everyday, I went ahead and did a few things first. I first searched for a keyword, I won't tell you guys my niche, but I'll tell you it is targeted towards 13< year old kids and is in the gaming niche. I managed to find a 100k monthly global search, and a 40k US monthly search. Now I'm not sure if this was good or not because I'm bad at keyword searching, I thought it was fine.

I signed up for a fairly trusted PPD network (won't tell which). I would've gladly used CPA + CLP, but I don't think I'm ready for the $100 investment.

Then, I made 10 Youtube accounts. My idea is to get 2 videos and every account, one slideshow and one gameplay. I made 10 slideshow and 10 gameplay videos with minor changes. Because my computer is prehistoric, I had to download an HD video from youtube and just altered it a bit. I plan to upload once I have everything together.

And then, I've made my first ever online purchase. I bought a domain and hosting. The domain came with hosting, and it cost $6.30 a month, I didn't go into a contract, just in case this method turns to doesn't work out, I can turn back.

Day 0:
Made: $0
Spent: $6.30
Profit: -$6.30

I uploaded all videos accordingly. My website is up and running with (hopefully) good keywords. Let's see how this plays out.

Subscribed. I'm also starting up again with PPD (different niche) and so far it's going well. With some hard work at the start and a lot of researching, you will reach at least $50 a day. Good luck with your journey!

From reading your post I know what niche you're in.

All I can say is, it may have a lot of traffic but if you rank your video it will get flagged pretty quickly.

So make sure you upload a lot of videos in that niche.

Make sure you have 'Exact' turned on not 'Broad' in Google AdWords Keyword Tool.

Not even Day 1 yet and I already failed. Realized my search was on Broad, when I switched it over to Exact, searches dropped by like 90%. Hopefully, I'll make it work out somehow. If not, I'll just buy a new domain for $11 because the domain I have is specific. But damn, I guess my research was done pretty poorly if I didn't even know about the 'Exact' option for Google's Keyword tool.

Wow you've been saving for a long time. My only piece of advice is... don't let failure stop you. I believe that your hunger to help your family will be enough motivation to pull you through any tough situation.

I don't know the niche, but I was thinking the same thing.

Many of the active gaming niches are full of people who flag everything.

It may work out in the short term, but if I were you I would try to think of some out of the box niches. There is nothing worse than getting your video on the first page for it to get flagged the same day.

Ok, so I got 2 views on my file. This is pretty expected, as I didn't buy any youtube views or anything. I plan on moving to another niche while I wait to see if my videos will be removed. Will still be using PPD cause I have some faith left in it. This time, I'm going to attempt to make a quality video and site. I will add voice-over to my video, and after a day or two, use u2bviews to boost it to the 300 views mark.

On the other note, I spent at least 3 hours keyword researching, I need to start thinking outside the box like JordanS recommends. But seriously, I feel like every market is either already filled with marketers or isn't profitable enough. Wish I joined this IM game a few years ago, but better to start now than to never start.

I will probably buy a new domain tomorrow and start working on a new site. Thanks for the support everyone.

WOOOT! Got my first download! I don't expect to make much from this, but I'm REALLY pumped. I'm gonna get started on my new website and videos now that I have a slight gist of how this all works.

On the side note, I probably won't be making extremely detailed posts of what I'm doing because of my school life.

No downloads today, didn't really put me down that much. I got home from school pretty late today because of club activities. I uploaded a couple of videos that I still have to my original niche and made another video for my other niche.

Really unproductive day, I'll be sure to compensate this weekend.

I got TWO downloads today! Awesome! I'm continuing to upload videos to this niche and boosting with u2bviews and addmefast. I bought a domain because I want to try out clickbank promotion. I've only a fourth assed my clickbank ventures, so I'll be sure to go full blast on this one. I'm planning to invest quite a bit of money for this, so hopefully, it'll work out.

First off,

Make sure you use proxies with your PVA YT accounts.

My recommendation, focus on getting your videos to stick. It's a pain to keep reuploading vids over and over. Also, there are cheaper and even free solutions for a content locker.

I personally use CLP, however, I know people who just use the free content lockers that come with some CPA networks. For instance, Adworkmedia has content locker that you can use.

I don't really know how to use proxies atm, but I'll probably start buying them once I see that youtube will work for me. As for free content lockers, I'm a bit scared to sign up for Adworkmedia because most of my content deals with illegal/cracked/keygen stuff. I'm not sure if they allow that.

If you can point me in the right direction, I would definitely make the switch to a free CL.

Yeah, proxies can be a bit confusing at first. I recommend getting HMA pro VPN... it's $10 a month and lets you switch back and forth between tons of shared proxies. It's super easy. You just log in on the program and select which IP you want to use.

I was doing tons of content locking with adworkmedia and never had any trouble. Just be careful when applying... the safest route is to say that you're an email marketer with a list of 10,000+ double opt in emails or some bs like that

There's a few good threads you can use on bhw for making sure that you get accepted. Just follow those
