So yea lately I've seen all these noobs bumping threads. And it's got the point where it's starting to piss me off.

Well we've seen Harro has banned all the thank you noobs. And I wasn't suprised where like 99% of them had less then 20 posts :p

So what I'm thinking is that noob's cannot post on threads that haven't been posted on in 7 days or more (well maybe not 7 days but around that mark)

It's just because you get threads that are months old, and suddenly a noob comes up and says some bs comment like "I would like to know more information" or something to that extent.

But yea hopefully if you agree with me bhw can TAKE ACTION.

I agree with you but there are thousands of ppl joining bhw everyday.. so it's kinda hard to monetize the noobs into experts :D

I agree, in a sense, the reason I say that is there are some really good noobs who know what they are on about, but there is some that just spoil it for the others, what we need to do really which we should speak to harro about is moderate the posts ourselves and if we see noobs doing stuff like this we report it and they get dealt with, which I suppose is kinda obvious as long as we don't abuse the system. It's kinda hard as we need mods on here 24hrs or a couple of mods between them splitting the time and just watching posts, so if needs be they can ban the noobs who take the p**s. anyway just my opinion on the matter.

Yea fair enough. I mean back before Talkfreelance died, if you had less then 25 posts all your posts would be manually excepted by mods. I mean mods could do it here, but it would be a fuck load of work. If you locked up the downloads section, then the amount of noobs would drop by like 50% but the problem is they would spam the rest of the forum to get enough posts. But stopping them bumping threads would be a good start :)

I think I see someone likely to get banned up there ^^

Personally, what has been annoying me is the noobs starting a thread and then 30 minutes later posting "someone answer me" to bump their own thread up. I so feel like hitting the -rep when i see that. Am I just harsh?

Yeah, reincarnating old threads winds me up, especially the services threads cuz when I read through a coupla pages to find the OP has posted they have discontinued the service, and then its a noob posting "I am interested please PM payment details" it's cost me time, and more often or not its on a service I would love to use. Grrrrr

Maybe we start taking action ourself with Neg Rep, and maybe have a system to limit the posts per hour of people with rep < 10.

I briefly put up a mention about this the other day in the feedback section, about noobs asking for pm's on testing this and that, and personally I do believe if they don't read the post and keep on spamming the thread, they should be banned. But I like the rep idea that is quite a good idea.

    hahaha a prime example.

@crashed. Yea thats a nice idea. The problem with neg rep is that your rep decreases as well, so everyone would have 0 rep soon :( or another way is to lock the thread 7 days or so after the last reply, then no one could physically post :p

I was thinking maybe, there should be an option if you are offering testing, you yourself as the person offering testing, can lock the thread afterwards and only reopen it when the testers have feedback to give on it, maybe?

I never realised that, now I know why my rep went down the other day, I thought it was cuz someone had attitude with something I said as well :D

Maybe they can write a script to autoban for 3 days or something if 10 people click a button on the post :D

P.S. This (http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...0-how-restrick-download-until-offer-fill.html) is the perfect example of what I am on about, he waited 20 mins before he got sick of waiting and posted again.

Yea thats a good idea, but I can see it bringing more problems then benefits. I mean someone could make a product, sell it, then scam everyone and run away and no one could reply cause the thread is locked :(

if you look in your cp crashed at the bottom you can see why you lost rep, sometimes it can be over something silly, but usually it's something you have said that some didn't agree with.
