Noobish questions

First of all, I searched for an FAQ that may have some of this information, but didn't find one. If I missed it somehow, please feel free to call me retarded.

I've been doing IM for a few years now, but found this site while searching for info about starting some social media campaigns. I've been reading almost nonstop for a couple days, and think I've got my first few campaigns figured out. But I've got a couple technical questions.

1. Email. From what I can tell, facebook requires you to verify every account's email address. For a few, that's not a big deal, but I've seen some people talking about 500+ accounts. I'd like to move that way eventually, but it seems like it would take forever to create and verify all those email addresses. Is there an automated method, or maybe an email provider you recommend that somehow makes it easier?

2. Account creation. Is there any way to automate this? Once again, seems to be one of the only slow steps.

3. Proxies. I understand why it's wise to use proxies, but I haven't really messed with them since we had to bypass the content filter in high school. I've seen a lot of talk about public proxies - is there a list of those somewhere? All the lists I find on google are outdated, with dozens that don't even work.

Loving the site. I'm hooked already.

1. There is no real need to verify your e-mail adress.
2. It's best to manually make them, or hire someone to do it for you.
3. Not too sure.

as far as proxies go. you will want socks proxies... plenty for free on the net just check them with charon... and for the account creation ... I pay indians to do mine.. post an ad on GAF..

LivelyBrowser, that's good to hear. I was already considering buying your Friend Adder, and it looks like your software is always tops. To make sure I've got it right, you'll be selling the accounts, not the software to make them, right? Any chance of a preview of pricing?

Oh, and roach, GAF? I know a few sites that are probably like the ones you're talking about, but that acronym doesn't ring a bell.

That thing that asks if it can access your eMail contacts from yahoo for example?

So why not load a big list into yahoo and let the facebook thing rip?

Supposedly the input can be in almost any format, even a simple text file. So no need to waste time loading them into yahoo.

The main thing about the friend adder software is that it's easier to target your audience - find a related group, and it'll add the members as your friends. So you know the people you're marketing to already have an interest in your product/service.
