Okay, so I'm following this cpanel guide.

    hxxp://codex.wordpress.org/Using_cPanel

And I'm wondering If I set it up right by uploading the files to what seems to be under the /home/jerkinmu folder than under the blog subfolder under the name wordpress. I was wondering if I did this right, and if so, what would be the right install link? would it be,

    Code:
     www.domainhere.com/home/jerkinmu/blog/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php?

You are trying to use cPanel to install WP? If so, check and see if your cPanel has Fantastico. It depends on your hosting company, but most will have it. This will automatically install WP for you on your domain in approximately 10 seconds.

As far as the folder you're uploading to, you can upload WP anywhere you would like it to be accessible from. For example, you can upload it to the root directory of your domain so it can be accessed directly from yourdomain.com but if you want to put it elsewhere, you can just make a subfolder such as "blog" and upload it there. Then it will be accessible from yourdomain.com/blog

Do you understand what I'm saying? You don't have to create a "wordpress" subfolder.

Here are some links that might help you better understand what I've said and help you understand overall...

I think somewhere I saw that I had Apache? I don't know what that is? Is it like Fantastico?

Wait, you're being hosted on an Apache server? You do have access to a GUI cPanel, right?

For more information on Fantastico and a list of hosting companies that support it, check out their homepage...

You don't have to say, but it'd be helpful if I knew where you are hosting your domain at. PM me if you don't want to post here but still would like to answer.

Also, read the links I am posting. It will benefit you in the long run to educate yourself on all of this and will help you better understand what I am asking/trying to explain.
