Noob with a few questions

Hi everyone

First I want to explain that I have been reading the forum for 3 months and since then I am amazed with this, I like the way ppl help each other here.

Sorry for my english, I am from Brazil and also just started in IM.

Since I decided to stop reading (but not learning) I researched some local keywords to see how this works. I have never set up a website/wp before so my goal here is to get familiar with some tools (yeah pretty noob). Got a host+EMD (hostgator) 2 days ago and already set up wp in it, with a simple BHW theme I found here somewhere. Installed all in one SEO and another SEO plugin that I cant remember righg now. Wrote my first article which is SEO optimized and now Im just waiting DNS to propagate to start trying to build some links (manually or with free tools). I am planning to write more articles before. I am still trying to get the whole picture here about backlinking on web 2.0.

Whats the best way do to it? SEO for making money is not too much used here in Brazil so competition isnt really hard. Im using traffic travis and market samurai to start. Do i have to backlink with my main website url or with my article url? Also, google consider any relevance if I do backlink with english language sites in the same niche as mine? Considering that my site is in portuguese?

If you're already writing your own articles, I don't think you'll have a problem. Find something you like, and go with it. You'll learn to make money down the road.

Internet Marketing is NOT a "MAKE MONEY NOW!" business anymore... Just remember, as long as you're working for someone else, you're never getting paid what you're worth. Do your own thing.

thanks altschule, I am very aware of this and I really do not expect to make more than I think even $10 in the next 2 weeks with this domain. Obviously I will try handle it the best way I can but what I want right now is to start doing from scratch to gain some exp and get how it works.

Just to update this thread, now that google indexed my 1st site naturally, I am already with an Adsense account and also a banner from a CPA offer (customer must sign in to a jobs site and if they subscribe I'll earn comission on it).

When I told that here we do no have too much competition I think I was right, since I am ranked #14 (second page) in google with my main keyword, and I did not even start to build links yet (site were indexed 2 days ago) and according to awstats I have 105 visits and 76 unique visitors.

Now I want to post my URL here but I think I can't. I do not care about posting it because I'm just trying to learn here, not make $ since this is my only site for now. I want to check if my layout is OK along with adsense banners and CPA offer. Anyway, it is meuprimeiroemprego (dotdot) net

If anyone could give me tips I really aprecciate it!

edit: Also I do have some questions. I'm about to buy Scrapebox, but my main question is if I should blast my main site (domain) or specific posts in particular. Thanks!

Maybe you can start with doing some socialbookmarking first.
Then submit some articles to ezinarticles,hubpages,squidoo...
Blast the scrapebox links to ezinearticles,hubpages.....
Don't blast directly to the money sites.
