Hello Everyone,

I've been a long time reader of all the affiliate
marketing forums out there, but this is my 1st post.

I've had the opportunity to learn a lot from everyone here,
and today I'd like to share my first success.

I made about $119 today promoting an information product.

Product I promoted: XtremeFatBurn.com

I did this using article writing. I went to
Ezine Articles and saw the top articles in the
health and fitness category.

Then I grabbed the ones about weight loss and
saw what made them so popular, their writing style,
etc

I did some research, wrote 5 articles, and submitted
them to 8 different article directories.

Next, I went over to Yahoo Answers and answered
questions in the weight loss niche leaving
my slick affiliate link in the source box.

FInally I wen to weight loss blogs and made helpful
comments leaving my affiliate link inside of the comment.

Whew!

I came out with 6 sales after doing this, and I
am pretty sure I can turn this into a $100/day
business.

The cool part is this program pays me 100% commission
on all the sales, so I guess that helped with the amount
I made.

Just wanted to share!

hey, nice work there.

when reading between your lines everybody can make a well working list of methods that you used for fast converting.
 
Great job. Weight loss is extremely hot niche.
How do they survive by giving 100% commissions?
 
Wouldn't it just be convenient if he owned XtremeFatBurn.com ;)

Pretty good way of getting people to sign up to your affiliate program if
that were true.

If it aint true, nice work.

If it is, still nice work because you did it in a pretty sneaky way.
 
Just gather some more knowledge about what people seems to work and research reviews for similar products.. Produce your own ebook from the knowledge you gathered, make a LP of your own with a secure payment page and profit big time.. All in all, you got a good thing going though.

Your going all the right things though, so goodjob.. Hopefully you can do the same with other information products and start profiting more.
 
yeh exactly what i was gonna say.. are u sure u are affiliate? or are u spamming ur url to gain more affiliates?

one post and has url in there..hmmm

smitty that's exactly the thought that went through my mind... Might have fooled marketers on the warrior forums but not us LOL :D

No offense but any time I see a post that doesn't go all the way across the screen LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE'S, then it looks pre-written to me...

Prewritten usually means B.S.

Er yeah...
which noob would type 'slick affiliate link' when talking about their aff link in a report on their modest progress? 0_o

It is amazing how what this is really about is given away in the first sentence:
"affiliate marketing" as in this is what the person who was writing this was really concerned with; the prospect of recruiting from forums in this sly way.

Anyone else also detect the subtle "How to - go do this" vibe as opposed to what would have been a more authentic "How To - what I did" account vibe?

Just shows how subtle and challenging writing convincing copy is. Forget selling in print, it is seems it can be more like acting in print.
 
I understand having limited copies to sell 'how to make money' products. What's the deal with selling limited fat loss reports - lol

Also, do you really think any affiliate will promote your product if there are only 4 copies left? .. rofl
 
Call it what you'd like, but I'm happy with what I've done. It may not be a whole lot, but I think I can keep doing this with other stuff on clickbank and get it up to a solid $100 per day, everyday.
 
sure .. but if it's article writing that you're doing, then it's surprising that you chose a product with such a sales page .. there are other fat loss programs with much better conversions and sales pages ..
 
Sorry simmonsmike but the product you're promoting is utter crap and the writer is probably some no good poor mofo....with no design skills either.

Especially since that site has no backlinks and isn't indexed in google. :)
 
Nice points from above :D

Just like to add most goodwilled marketers are willing to share their methods but they would also like to keep their affiliate / niche in check so it'll last longer.
